One man’s trash is another man’s treasure… Never over look vintage or antique pieces when interior decorating.

I always find rare or one of a kind quirky pieces for myself & my clients at places like the Mills Markets or The Smith Street Bazaar or Kyo.

A mix of vintage pieces & new pieces gives a home depth & individuality.

Vintage furniture can be repurposed, for instance this trunk would make a fabulous coffee table or blanket box.

I particularly like buying vintage furniture and having it reupholstered.

Reupholstering & changing the finish on your existing furniture is a great alternative to buying brand new items.

These dining chairs I recently had done by Surfcoast Upholstery are unrecognisable after their make-over.

Before & After

I also like to hunt for special pieces for myself & my clients, items of value at a bargin.

Such as this beautiful & rare pieceof 1950’s Barsony I discovered recently.

A piece such as this could be used in a contempoary, modern or tradional home.
