Working as an interior designer I source furnishings & accessories from anywhere & everywhere. I’m constantly on the look out for new brands & new products that will suit my current & future clients. I spend a lot of time trawling the internet, visiting supplier showrooms & hunting around second hand stores. I’m always on the look out for the perfect piece for now & filing away ideas for prospective projects. It’s my speciality to know where to shop for all manner of furniture & homewares on any given budget.
I recommend products from many online emporiums to my clients along with the known big brand chains & designers but where I can I like to use local businesses from around Geelong, the Surfcoast & the Bellarine. Here are a few of my local favourites…
Good Huis, Belmont
Stunning furniture & homeware, with a focus on natural materials & ethical brands
Easterly has an extensive range of imported & locally made furniture, accessories, lighting & unique decorative pieces.
Kiitos – Living by Design, Barwon Heads & Geelong West
Kiitos Is a colourful treasure trove of designer homewares & textiles. It a luxury, to be able to buy some of my favourite brands such as Marimekko, dinosaur Designs, Normann Copenhagen & Design House Stockholm locally.
Boom Gallery, Newtown
Boom is a fresh & modern contemporary art and design gallery that presents the work of emerging and established artists, such as Rohan Robinson, Ingrid Daniell & Scott Andrews. Where possible I encourage my clients to invest in original pieces rather than decorator prints & Boom is a great place to buy exciting & interesting artwork.
The Amazing Mill Markets, Newcomb
At Mill Markets there is absolutely everything on offer, a pickers delight of vintage furniture, collectable pieces & antiquities from every era, trend & fashion.
