My client’s beautifully kept & spacious Highton home was let down by its pokey, dated kitchen. An avid home baker she found the space difficult to work in, sad & depressing.

It was time for a big change… She needed a show kitchen.

It was time for a big change… She needed a show kitchen.

We elected to straighten the lines of the kitchen & remove the awkward corner pantry, space under the nearby stairs would then be utilised as extra pantry space. The useless pullout rangehood would be replaced with a properly vented arrangement.

The tacky moulded cabinetry was replaced with a combination of Polytec Graphite & Classic White Laminate which I tied together with a Smartstone Athena benchtop & bold geometric patterned tiles. My client chose a Qasair canopy range hood, double Bosch Ovens & a French Door Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator. The result is impressive & my client is delighted.

As usual I enlisted the services of Peter from Astute whom I work in with regularly on kitchen & bathroom projects. I cover the interior design elements & selections whilst Peter coordinates the demolition & build. Since the  flooring had to be resurfaced the nearby by powder room was also given an update as was the tired laundry.
